The CDC says that adults age 18 and over should aim for at least 7 hours of sleep per night. Some of their recommendations for better sleep include having a consistent sleep schedule, keeping your bedroom quiet, dark, and at a comfortable temperature and keep electronic devices such as TVs, computers, and smartphones out of the bedroom. Insufficient sleep is linked to increased risks of obesity, diabetes, heart disease, and depression.
