AUDIO: Taylor University's Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies Program Receives Accreditation07/01/2025To continue addressing the healthcare professional shortage, Taylor University has launched a Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies program. Taylor was recently granted provisional accreditation for the program by the Accreditation Review Commission on Education for the Physician Assistant, which is the occupation’s national accrediting body. Lori Fauquher is the Director of the Physician Assistant Program, and she says it’ll not only help the need for healthcare workers, but eventually help increase access… Along with traditional medicine, Taylor’s program will emphasize the approved, evidence-based curriculum of “lifestyle medicine,” meaning lifestyle interventions, to care for the whole person. Fauquher says the program is rigorous with 112 credit hours over 27 months, covering all base areas of medicine and more, but is high quality. The first 40 students will begin in August.
