AUDIO: Taylor University to Help Pastors Hone Preaching Skills Under PREACH Initiative12/09/2025Providing pastors with the tools, insight, and skills necessary to become better preachers is the goal of Taylor University’s PREACH Initiative. PREACH is an acronym for Preparing, Resourcing, Equipping, and Coaching for Homiletic excellence. Taylor says the initiative will allow participating pastors to earn a preaching certificate while supporting local congregations and students who are exploring preaching. Dr. Tim McConnell, who’s the lead pastor of First Presbyterian Church in Colorado Springs, Colorado, is the Director of Taylor’s PREACH Initiative… Dr. McConnell says the PREACH initiative’s upcoming certificate program will run from February 12th through May 22nd with online sessions, and will award 12 certificates per year. Requirements to join include being a pastor in the pulpit regularly or a preacher-in-training as well as registering for it. Registration will cost $250.
