St. Joseph Missions has two programs – an emergency shelter for unhoused women and Phase 2 transitional housing that provides additional support. Executive Director Erin Ness speaks with WBCL... Ness says the women’s shelter has seen an increased need with an average of 264 calls per month from women seeking shelter. Ness also says volunteers are important to the women’s shelter, including dinner volunteers, clerical, cleaning groups, and committee members.
