AUDIO: 45th International Conference on Jewish Genealogy Coming to Fort Wayne04/03/2025There’s a major upcoming opportunity to learn about Jewish genealogy this summer. The International Association of Jewish Genealogical Societies will hold its annual conference in Fort Wayne, which has been held in major cities across the world in previous years. The Allen County Public Library Genealogy Center and Northeast Indiana Jewish Genealogist Society had pivotal roles in Fort Wayne being chosen for the first time to host the conference. ACPL Director of Special Collections Curt Witcher speaks with WBCL… The IAJGS annual conference will have more than 140 presentations and a variety of other programs on all aspects of Jewish genealogy. More than 1,000 attendees are expected, and the library’s Genealogy Center will serve as the conference’s Resource Center.
