Auburn Racetrack Project Canceled06/19/2026A plan to build a northeast Indiana racetrack for luxury cars has been stopped. Chuck Surack, Tom Kelley and Bill Bean had sought to buy the Auburn Auction Park. An offer to buy the track was accepted in December the plan was to open the track to driving club members in summer 2027. That deal unraveled after auction park owner and Auburn resident Daryle Doden changed his mind and declined to sell the site. The businessmen said the premiere racetrack would be a tourist attraction and help recruit business executives to the region.
