Annual Lucas County Dog Licenses Can Now be Purchased

If you live in Lucas County, Ohio and own a dog, it’s that time of year to get your annual dog license. All dogs over 3 months old are required to have a license. Dog licenses can be purchased on the Lucas County Auditor’s website, by mail, or in person. A one-year license is $25, a three-year license is $75, and a permanent dog license is $250. If dogs are not registered by January 31st, there will be a penalty of $25 plus the cost of the license. Failure to license a dog is a misdemeanor under Ohio law and may result in fines.
