American Red Cross Encourages Blood Donations Amid Emergency Blood Shortage Nationwide

The American Red Cross recently declared an emergency blood shortage as the nation’s blood supply dropped nearly 25% in June. The shortage is particularly serious for platelets and types O positive and B negative blood.
