ACDEM Suspends Some Programs03/27/2020 Following the Stay-at-Home order issued by Governor Holcomb Monday afternoon, the Allen County Department of Environmental Management will suspend the following programs: 1. Tox-Away Tuesdays Electronics Recycling Household Battery Recycling Fluorescent Bulb Recycling Household Battery Recycling Programs are to close, effective Monday, March 23, 2020 and will remain in effect until further notice. Residents who use ACDEM’s Tox-Away Tuesdays and Electronics Recycling programs are encouraged to hang on to materials until programs are back in operation. ACDEM’s Community Recycling Drop-off Sites will remain open until further notice as these operations meet the guidelines for essential business and activities for health and safety. The following recycling drop-off sites will remain open to Allen County residents until further notice: Byron Health Center lot, 12101 Lima Road Stellhorn Village, 4522 Maplecrest Road Little River Wetlands Project, 5000 Smith Road Kroger Southgate Plaza, 218 Petit Ave. Leo-Cedarville, 14701 Schwartz Road The above locations are open Tuesday-Saturday, 8 a.m.-4:30 p.m.
