Over the Edge Fort Wayne 07/19/2018 – 07/20/2018 WBCL in partnership with GiGi’s Playhouse Fort Wayne is excited to offer a very unique experience to the Fort Wayne community. On July 19th and 20th during Three Rivers Festival, GiGi’s Playhouse will be host to the first ever Over The Edge event in Fort Wayne. This rappelling event will occur off the east end of the Lamplight Inn of Fort Wayne at the corner of East Washington and Lafayette. We are expecting over 100 individuals to step out “over-the-edge” of the 14-story building and safely rappel down the side of the building to a welcoming crowd of supporters.About the event. Each rappeller is required to raise a minimum of $1000 to reserve a rappelling time slot on Friday, July 20th. Raise at least $1500 to get a GoPro recording camera provided as part of the descent and have a lasting memory of your experience.Register online as an individual rappeller, set up your team so your supporters can contribute to your fundraising campaign or simply to support your favorite rappeller. Employers can set up a matching funds campaign and companies can create team-building competition between departments, supervisors or even management teams. Or “Toss the Boss” by having individuals within your department or workplace collectively fund your manager or department executive to rappel. We will keep a running total of the funds raised for your rappel so you know where you stand and how well your supporters are doing. Then in June, the rappelling time slots will be assigned. Anyone who desires to support GiGi’s Playhouse but does not wish to rappel can raise donations by participating in the special “Chicken Coop” area that will recognize their efforts and provide them a way to celebrate with everyone that day.
