A Walk Through History

Walk through History- Celebrating America's 250th Birthday!

A Walk through History offers a unique glimpse into the past, featuring live reenactors, representing pioneer days and early militia. Highlights of the event include:

* Encampments with period costumes

* Demonstration of the art of spinning, weaving, cooking, trapping, candle dipping and copper smithing.

* Live music featuring Plymouth Fife and

Drum Corp, Plymouth, MI, Second Street Hammered Dulcimers, Defiance Rube Band and the Balladeer.

* A wreath laying ceremony at the 1812 Memorial with the Daughters of 1812.

* Food trucks will be available for refreshment purchases.

This event is free and open to the public. Parking will be available in the Marina with shuttle service to the park.

The event is sponsored by AM250-Ohio and Independence Dam State Park with the help of the Friends of Independence Dam State Park.
