Backpacks of Hope "I have colored pencils, I love to draw, my dream has been made." ~an 11-year-old Lebanese girl with tears streaming down her face This summer, we are partnering with Heart of Lebanon to bring the children of Lebanon hope! Lebanon has been devastated by crisis after crisis, natural disasters, and is being overwhelmed by refugees from the nearby war in neighboring Syria. To address the ongoing crisis in Lebanon, Heart for Lebanon and WBCL are partnering together for the Backpacks of Hope Summer Outreach. We will provide backpacks full of school supplies and a whole bible for Lebanese students' 2023/24 academic year. The backpacks include: A Bible School Supplies A Winter Coat A Pair of Socks Each backpack costs $45 and Hearts for Lebanon has a need for 1,000 for the Education Center and up to 1,500 for Hope on Wheels. With this outreach, you raised enough for 1,763 backpacks, which covers the entire need for the Education Center! All backpacks raised during the remainder of the outreach will go to Hope on Wheels.
