Meet the Mid-Morning Producer: Bekah Shaffer

 

My name is Bekah Shaffer, and I'm the Mid-Morning producer. I came to WBCL in July of 2011, after spending 11 years working as a Financial Aid Counselor at Indiana Wesleyan University. (Talk about a career change!!) I never expected that this would be my job, but when I found out it was posted, I promised God I would submit a resume and start walking through the doors until He closed them....and HE NEVER DID! 
 
I love to write and in fact, a couple of years ago, I saw a long time dream come true when I published a devotional for the Christmas season titled His Advent: Still His Greatest Gift. I work on new projects all the time, and I also blog daily at Bekah’s Bits.
 
When I’m not writing, you can probably find me doing one of the following things: scrapbooking (I’m pretty serious about my scrapping!), taking pictures, cooking, hunting for the next perfect recipe, shopping at Cato or Hobby Lobby, or enjoying a coffee date with my brand new husband!
 
My husband's name is Ryan Shaffer, and we love our love story. God wrote an unmistakably beautiful masterpiece when He began to weave together two people whose hearts had been hurt. Ryan and I love each other so much and have loved living out the story God has written for us. It's been a joy to watch what has happened in the hearts and lives of those around us as they've watched our love story, too.
