How can your church take a stand for life? January is Sanctity of Human Life Month in the US.
Since 1983, Americans have observed Sanctity of Human Life Month as a way to celebrate the intrinsic value of all human life.
It’s also a month for pregnancy centers to share about the work they do to bring life-affirming resources to their communities and to empower women and men to choose life for their unborn children.
Yesterday was Sanctity of Human Life Sunday. It is commemorated on the Sunday in January that falls closest to the day on which the Roe v. Wade decision was handed down by the U.S. Supreme Court on January 22, 1973.
The pro-life organization CareNet has some suggestions on how your church can get involved in Sanctity of Human Life Month.
Promote LIFE throughout the year!
Spread the word on Facebook! Share ideas of what you plan to do in your community...
View the Sanctity of Human Life video on YouTube.
And Contact your local pregnancy center to see how you can help.
Another organization that plays a key role in Sanctity of Human Life Month is Focus on the Family. You can download free resources and view special Sanctity of Human Life videos at Focus’ special pro-life website, heartlink.org
By the way, a great book that will help you explain and defend the pro-life position is “The Case for Life” by Scott Klusendorf. You can learn more about the book at “ProlifeTraining.com.”
