Scripture  urges us to not merely listen to the Word…but to do what it says (James 1:19). We want to spend the Mid-Morning hour building one another up in the faith by sharing together! We’ll open the phones for the hour to hear how you came to faith in Jesus, the greatest faith influences in your life, or your favorite verse. And throughout the hour, you can register to win one of a handful of Bibles we have to give away! We can’t wait to hear part of your journey with the Lord and tell you a bit about ours!

"True love waits" - but what exactly are you waiting for? After all, we're constantly bombarded with Hollywood's idea of romance - that sex is no big deal, that everyone is doing it, that it's the only path to a happy ending. Maybe you've even begun to wonder, What am I missing? Is the wait really worth it? Marian Jordan Ellis has been there. She knows the pitfalls of giving in to temptation and the blessings of God's best found in waiting after she committed herself to Christ and purity. She offers hope to spare you from heartache and point you to God's best when it comes to Sex and the Single Christian Girl. (Bethany House, ISBN# 978-0764211232)

Sex, money, children,  in-laws or time management? What if we told you it was none of the above? Dr. Hawkins says it's not the topic, but the act of fighting that drives us. We want what we don't have and will fight to get it. And that drives a wedge between us and the ones we love. Join us in the first half hour to learn how to Never Fight Again...Guaranteed! (Abingdon, ISBN# 978-1426773853) – and we’ll take your questions in the second half of the show!

Wednesday, July 02, 2014"The Gospel of Yes" Host(s): Lynne Ford
Listen Now Number of listens: 0 Download File Number of downloads: 0

What you believe about God affects how you approach life – often in ways you don’t realize. Are you convinced that God limits you or liberates you? Is He more interested in correcting you or connecting with you? Mike Glenn offers that God’s most powerful word, which opens our eyes to everything He does, is YES. God said yes to creating a world for us to live in and yes to inviting us into a relationship with Him. When you live in God’s “yes,” you find your identity, your true value and your unique purpose on earth. What if we learned to live in The Gospel of Yes (WaterBrook, ISBN# 978-0-307-73047-3)?

Monday, June 30, 2014"Yawning at Tigers" Host(s): Lynne Ford
Listen Now Number of listens: 0 Download File Number of downloads: 0

When was the last time you were overawed by God’s majesty? Have you ever stood in stunned silence at His holiness and power? In our shallow, self-centered age, things like truth and reverence might seem outdated and lost. Yet…we’re restless. Our failed attempts to ease our unrest point to an ancient ache for an experience of the holy. Drew Dyck, author of Yawning at Tigers (Thomas Nelson, ISBN# 978-1-4002-0545-5) joins us to make a compelling case that what we seek awaits us in the untamed God of Scripture…a God who is mysterious, yet powerfully present. His raw majesty, love, and power become more real and transformative than we could ever imagine.
