(As of December 31, 2016.) You Did It! Thank you for meeting the goal and helping to further the Kingdom of Christ in Marion and Findlay! Why Marion and Findlay? For years we’ve had trouble with our signal penetrating buildings in Marion and covering the entire city with our Fort Wayne frequency. Now both of those hurdles have been cleared. Findlay is on the fringe of our Ohio signals and we’ve heard from many people that they want WBCL in their homes and workplaces. We’ve expanded our ministry to serve the Findlay community with this new translator. The licenses for these two cities were applied for back in 2003. The entire process involving the Federal Communications Commission, planning and construction has taken this long to complete. Praise God that this year both signals are up and running and now WBCL is reaching a total new population of around 80,000 people with the Gospel! Where did you get the money to get Marion and Findlay on the air? Because we knew this was a long process, we used reserves set aside for these two projects but now we need to pay those reserves back so that we may be in a position in the future to be ready for visionary ministry opportunities. Why are you asking all listeners to contribute toward Marion and Findlay? With all of our frequencies, even the original 90.3fm in Fort Wayne, the first funds came from visionary individuals and businesses who wanted to be there for future listeners. WBCL listeners realize that others paid it forward so that we can be here for you 24/7 with God’s redemptive love and truth. When I donate, where does the money go? If you are fulfilling a Share 2016 pledge, then that donation will go toward meeting the Share 2016 goal and that is hugely important. That funding helps pay the bills and other ongoing operating budget costs. Donations designated toward the Marion/Findlay campaign will go to that effort. Any other undesignated year-end gifts will go toward the Marion/Findlay campaign. What if I’ve already fulfilled my Share 2016 pledge, can I give a little extra to help with the Marion/Findlay start-up cost? Yes! Any extra amount that you’d be willing to give will be greatly appreciated. Just remember to designate your extra gift toward that project. I’ve prayed about it and I’m ready to partner with WBCL.
