Break the Grey 09/15/2017, 07:00 PM – 09:30 PM Bill Ballenger, motivational speaker, and international recording artist, is bringing his “Break the Grey” (BTG) program to area schools on Sept. 11-15. The program discusses issues such as sub stance abuse, suicide, bullying, peer pressure, self-worth, life and death, and inner beauty among high school and middle school students. Ballenger will be speaking this week to Adams and Van Wert County students at South Adams, Bellmont, Adams Central and Crestview. Part of Break the Grey’s format is traveling with a cast of college age BTG interns who perform relevant skits coupled with popular music and multi-media presentations with screens and projectors. Ballenger has a story to share of bad choices culminating in a three-year prison conviction for him and his wife in Indiana at the age of 18. He shares his story challenging students not to make the choices he made and to take their lives and their futures seriously. A free concert will be held at South Adams Senior High School at 1000 Parkway St in Berne, IN on Friday, September 15 from 7:00 - 9:30pm for local middle school and high school students following the assemblies that will take place that week.
