Obama Gains Superdelegates
Some well-wishers on the House floor
greeted Barack Obama as "Mr. President" as he did some
superdelegate-hunting on the other side of the Capitol from his
Senate turf Thursday. Two more Democratic congressmen announced
that they're backing him as superdelegates.
IPFW Reveals Strategic Plan
IPFW has announced a new five-year strategic plan.
It includes proposals to build more student housing and a student
services center.
The 25 million dollar plan also includes adding more
faculty and increasing community involvement
Letter Carriers Hold Annual Food Drive
Tomorrow is the Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive , an annual community service project of the National Association of Letter Carriers. You’re asked to put non-perishable food items by your mailbox, and your postal carrier will collect them.
Food items collected in Fort Wayne will go to the Associated Churches Food Bank and area food pantries.
Housing Bill Would Face Veto
President Bush is threatening a veto of
a Democratic plan to help struggling homeowners. Congressional
Republicans denounce the 300-billion-dollar effort as a bailout.
The proposal cleared the House yesterday.
